About Chillscott
Chillscott began with a word that came out of nowhere.
One morning on a train in Tokyo, “Chillscott” crossed my mind.
I didn’t know what it meant, and I couldn’t find anything about it.
But it stayed with me.
As I looked out the window, I pictured people wearing it
caps marked with “Chillscott,” worn with quiet confidence and a natural sense of ease.
That image became the foundation of the brand.
I started sketching the word over and over in a small notebook, searching for a form that felt right.
Eventually, one version stood out.
That became the logo we use today—drawn by hand, carrying the instinct of that moment.
The first piece I created was a cap.
Inspired by that original vision, it marked the beginning of Chillscott.
Chillscott is built on a simple idea:
a quiet kind of confidence, expressed without trying too hard.
The iconic Chillscott signature is a star feature of our apparel items.
Logo marks, I believe, signify the utmost in creativity; they capture the imagination and enrich the mind.
That’s why I pay particular attention to how the Chillscott logo adorns our apparel, carefully crafting its design in terms of position, visibility, color, and size.
Another thing I focus on is making sure that there is no excessive design, while retaining empty, open marginal space.
This is based on my belief that having “empty space” means room to relax, and that is an important part of life.
